Mr. John Schumacher is Chairman and co-founder of GoldPoint Partners, responsible for overseeing GoldPoint’s investment and business development activities and managing the firm’s fund investment business. Mr. Schumacher previously served as the Firm’s CEO from its formation in 1999 through 2009. Prior to the formation of GoldPoint, Mr. Schumacher acted as the Head of New York Life's Private Finance Group from 1991 through 1999. Prior to joining New York Life, Mr. Schumacher was a Vice President in the Private Placement Department at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, where he began his career in 1983. Mr. Schumacher earned a BA in History from Columbia College and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business. Mr. Schumacher also serves on GoldPoint’s investment committee.
Mr. Archibald (Archie) Cox, Jr. is the former Chairman of Barclays Americas. Mr. Cox began his career at Morgan Stanley & Co. and eventually launched Morgan Stanley International in London and served as its Chief Executive Officer until 1988. Mr. Cox was President and Chief Executive Officer of The First Boston Corporation and a member of the Group Executive Board of CS First Boston Group, Inc. Mr. Cox has also served as a board member of the Securities and Investment Board, which was responsible for regulating the securities and other non-banking financial services businesses in the United Kingdom. In 1993, Mr. Cox formed Sextant Group, Inc., a financial advisory and private equity firm. Mr. Cox holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Harvard College and a MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is Chairman of several privately-owned companies, and also serves on the boards of Hutchinson Technology Incorporated, Hutchinson, Minnesota, Unifi Inc., Greensboro, North Carolina and Micell Technologies, Inc., Raleigh, North Carolina.
